
Mohammed Farook I.
Mr. Mohammed Farook is the founder of Amrin Handmade Potteries. He developed an interest in clay at a young age, learning from his uncle, Mr. Abdul Gaffoor Shaikh, who was a professor of ceramics at IIT Mumbai. Since the 1980s, Mr. Farook has dedicated himself to the field of ceramic and terracotta pottery.
Each piece crafted by Amrin Handmade Potteries tells a story, reflecting the rich cultural history and the passion that Mr. Farook and his team pour into their work. From delicate teacups to Divine Statues, their creations have found homes across the world, cherished by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Mr. Farook's commitment to sustainability and community engagement is evident in his efforts to source local materials and support local artisans.


Mr. Farook has been honored with a National Award for excellence in the field of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) as the best PMEGP unit for the period of 2013-2014.
Mrs. Shakila Farook, the wife of Mr. Farook, is a co-founder of Amrin Handmade Pottery. Her artistic insights have significantly enhanced the beauty and value of the products designed by Mr. Farook.
